Hello Barney!

Today's color is all about PURPLE!
As you all know, I'm not really a purple fanatic but obviously more of a pink addict(hehehe), but since I'm trying to experiment with colors, I think that it's not too bad to try this color some time instead of my usual favorites.

Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.

Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists and Thursday's color is purple.

I'm joking around while singing barney's song "I Love You".

"I love you,

You love me,
We're a happy family,
with a great big hug,
and a kiss from me to you,
Won't you say you love me TOO!"

- Barney -

People who loves the color Purple are highly individual, fastidious, witty and sensitive, with a strong desire to be unique and different. They are Temperamental, expansive and artistic.

Romper: New Found Happiness
Earrings: Accessorize
Necklace: Juicy Couture
Belt: Tops and Totes
Shoes: From Hongkong

With my look, I like the color of my purple romper because it's pleasing to the eyes. It's rich, gorgeous shade practically screams "luxury". I just added this yellow belt for an extra effect so it won't make my outfit looking plain and will add a glam vibe to my outfit. As I've said before, I'm not really a purple girl but when you get bored of all the options that you have in your wardrobe and want to add some interesting yet smart options to it, purple may be a color worth considering.

My inspiration for this look is when I watch the movie "No Other Woman" and I remember the line " my paparty ba si barney?" (Is Barney having a party?)LOL! :)

What's In my BAG eTSEtera

I adore small bags/purses and whenever I see one in a shop, I wanted to buy them because they look so cute,  but the problem is I can't put all my stuff inside. Obviously, I'm not one of those girls who can carry small bags in their everyday lives. If you carry my bag it weighs a ton. It's because I carry my whole house or my whole closet in it(hahaha). Actually, I call it my "luggage bag" because I put everything in it. That's why most of the time I complain of having shoulder aches. I don't know why I can't get rid of my other stuff inside my bag. If I remove something, I feel like my bag is not complete at all.

Here's a peek of what's inside my so called "luggage bag"

I'm not really a bag-lady, I'm more of a shoe-lady, so I change my bag depending on my mood. For now, I'm using my Dooney and Bourke Patent Cindy Tote.

I'm an OC girl, I want everything organized. I don't like messy bags where in when I'm looking for something I have to dig my bag first in order to find it, that's why I have all my things inside this small pouches.

From Left: Givenchy Very Irresistible perfume, Kitson make-up pouch, Sony Digi-cam, Marc Jacobs pouch, NoBo wallet, 2012 pocket planner, Goody Comb, Estee Lauder pouch and Gucci Sunglasses.

Gucci Sunnies ~ I got this from my mom and it's my protection from the sun. I always change sunglasses but for now I'll enjoy this one.

NoBo Wallet ~ I love this wallet but it's too big and kinda heavy too.

2012 Pocket Planner ~ This is where I write all my expenses, reminders, my online orders and special occassions(hehehe).

Goody Comb ~ I love this comb because it doesn't give my hair any tangles. I think that I have this for almost 5years now and still alive.

My Kitson Make-Up Kit: I know it's pink and it sparkle!

My Palazzo Pants at Grand Palazzo

What I love about Fashion is you never get the chance to miss out on a trend even if it was decades ago, because they almost always come back.

The Palazzo pants have been brought back all the way from the 70's and I'm loving it! They're comfortable, stylish and add a good couple of inches to your legs - what's not to love?

I was invited by my Super Tita Friend (Tita Tess) on her mom's 80th Birthday Party. Oh! I wish I'll also reach that age(heheh). Anyway, with my look, I'm wearing my favorite Palazzo Pants for the second time around(yehey!) and I love it.

I paired it with this sheer buttoned down sleeveless top with sequin-collar which I made FYI!(Again I sew my top. All for the love of dressmaking). I've been loving the sequin-collar look, so I decided to make my own version. Actually, my plan is to cover the whole collar with sequins but I ran out of it that's why I only finished 1/4 of it (I think!hahaha), so my collar looks like this(hehehe). I sew them individually by hand (take note: by hand OK!), patience is really a virtue, and it's another labor of love and mega-effort to the highest level.

I just added this gold belt to accentuate my waist and finished my look with my nude T-strap shoes :)

With my cousin Crisdel (my photographer) and Tita Beth

Surprise guest ~ "Asia's Queen of Songs" Miss Pilita Corales.

Crisdel, Tita Beth and of course, with the fabulous Tita Tess in her outfit no.3 , everybody's joking because it seems like it's her birthday daw (hehehe) Love you tita :)

The best with Palazzo pants is that you can pair it with almost any tops, may it be a buttoned down tops, sheer tops, printed tops (unless you're wearing printed Palazzo's), tank tops, almost any kind really. They're best with heels/wedges, as they're quite long and not all of us have amazing endless legs to pull it off with flats.

By the way, for all all my photos, I'm using my husband's Nikon D80 Camera(135mm and 300mm Lens) Thanks to him. I'm still practicing how to use it, and it's kinda heavy though(hehehe) and to Crisdel for being my photographer( I know you're still learning how to use it too even I, so more practice makes Perfect LOL!)

and
Last pictorial before going home (hahaha!)

Top: TSE's (Do-It-Myself)
Palazzo Pants: H&M

Pearl Jewelries: From my Mom
Belt: Terranova
Shoes: Boutique

Finally, Thank you Tita Tess for inviting us to this party, it was really nice seeing you again. We really had so much fun and I love your bongang-bongang dance presentation and your fabulous outfits hehehe :)

Flower Power

Floral prints emerge on the fashion scene every year round. It seems as if when warmer weather begins to hit, the need to “lighten up” our style comes along with it. Most of us start highlighting our hair, wearing pastels, and embracing a girlier, more feminine aesthetic. Floral prints are a great incarnation of this feminine style, and lucky for us, they’re super trendy!

Floral prints are always a hot trend and there’s plenty of ways to wear them. I'm getting addicted to floral prints. Maybe because summer is almost here and I'm excited wearing printed outfits at a pool party or the beach(hehehe!).

This dress I'm wearing, I got this from my sister when she had her vacation here 2 or 3years ago(I think). And, it's only now that I wore it. I never realized that this pretty dress is only sleeping in my closet for 3years(hehehe). Anyway, I wore this at a friends wedding and at a bday dinner party afterwards. At least it's "sulit" (worth it) coz I had two parties for 1 day(hehehe).

What I liked about this Floral Print dress is that it's very feminine and sweet. Since it has already colours in it, I just wore my nude pumps, so that my main focus here will be my dress.

Tips for Wearing Floral Print

Pick a size. We’ve all seen traditional “ditsy” floral print–dainty, feminine, and totally classic. While this look will continue to be popular, you can also expect to see a more contemporary take–large, statement-making graphic florals, on tops and dresses. Middle-of-the-road kind of girl? Mid-range floral might be your thing!
Make a statement. Floral print accessories are a great way to try the floral print trend as seasons transition. A floral print umbrella or pair of shoes will brighten up your day without looking over-the-top. If you’re wary of this trend, try incorporating it into your outfit in a statement accessory piece–you’ll make an impact, but it will still be subtle!

Outfit Inspiration

Go girly. Floral print is a definite staple in the girly-girl closet: think Lilly Pulitzer meets Vera Bradley. If southern-inspired style isn’t your thing, you can still create a totally girly look by picking up your favorite skirts, dresses, and blouses in tiny floral prints. Traditionally girly styles are made even more feminine with the addition of this fun print.
Go edgy. With the right outfit, floral print can also have an edgy feel. Instead of picking dainty pastel florals, try a larger print in darker colors. As a bonus, these darker florals can be worn into cooler seasons, too! Another way to give your floral look an edgier vibe is to pair a feminine floral with tougher accessories. Think a floral print dress with a leather jacket and oxfords, or floral print leggings and a black tunic. Mix and match for a look that’s all your own!

Pearl Dangling Earrings: Forever21
Fuschia Pink Lipstick: LAgirlsUSA (Last Night)
Nail Polish: Orly Pink from Posh Nails Pampanga
Shoulder Bag: Velvet Rose
Nude Pumps: Brash

Finally, I think that you don't have to be a teenager to wear floral print dress. Afterall, age is only a number, agree? hehehe :)

Floral and Posh!

Todays look, I was invited by Posh Nails Pampanga for a Spa Day Party with my fellow bloggers.
I'm feeling kinda girly so I wore this floral print dress. I guess, I'm very excited for summer, that I can't get enough of these dresses.

The floral print trend exploded into fashion stardom last year, with delicate blossom prints and vivid, oversized flower patterns appearing on any item you could think of, from high heeled pumps to cross body bags.

Thanks to Posh Nails Pampanga for the wonderful Spa Treat. I love my "Pink" nails. It really matches my outfit pa!... See :)

Don’t think about mixing prints when wearing this trend – one statement piece is enough. And because of the multitude of color in the floral print, you’ll be able to match it to any number of solid colours when it comes to shoes and accessories.
Bold prints look fantastic when worn with white, rather than black.

Aside from cute little flower prints, floral prints are also getting an update with a tropical infusion of palm leaves, fruit prints and images that bring to mind an island paradise. This print is a lot bolder and can’t be applied as easily to all pieces – it’s too big for a tank top, for instance – but it adds a whole lot more colour and sass to a printed piece. There’s no dressing this print down – it’s fierce, daring and overpowering.

With my look, I'm wearing a ruffle floral print dress. It has a spaghetti straps and the the length is just my size. I think that this is also perfect to wear for a pool party or a day at the beach. Pair it with a jeweled flat sandals.

Necklace: Accessorize
Braided Belt: Forever21
Shoes: Fioni

From miniature buds to large and in-charge blossoms, floral prints are a fail safe option for summer.

What I like about floral prints is that they look so sweet and balance out my girly vibe and still brings out the chic-ness in me.
