Pampered with POSH!

Our lifestyles have been continuously changing for the past years and it is always shifted toward our school or working life. Some people are focused on succeeding in their careers, or earning more money, or simply enjoying the benefits that only a successful executive can get. But all of these hard work are taking their toll on your body. You are feeling more tired every day. It is about time that you give yourself a break from it all.

Yesterday, It was such a pleasure being invited by Posh Nails Pampanga for a Spa Day Party. I met my new blogger friends Khai and Trix. Actually, they're younger than me, but age doesn't matter as long as I can relate, right?

Posh Nails Pampanga is located at the Second Floor, Waltermart Bldg., San Agustin, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

If you are a kikay girl (like ME), then you'll definitely fall in love with Posh Nail's modern, relaxed, funky and girly ambiance. I love their pink and lilac combination, posh and cute pillows (that you almost wanted to take them home) and very comfy couches. A soothing music is being played, and the place is very quiet (Oops! did I say QUIET, so it means I have to lower down my voice while talking hehehe!). And at Posh Nails, you also feel  at home that you almost wanted to sleep. Well, as for me, I didn't fall asleep because I was enjoying my chat with trix. We have so many things to talk about.

This is the wax room and I love the bed it's very girly. Isn't it cute?

Posh Nails Pampanga is also selling Human Nature Products.

I think that Posh Nails Prices are very reasonable, you have to try it for yourself to see that it's really worth.

These are the treatment that they gave us, I chose the Pomegranate and I love its scent. By the way, this treatment is a combination of hand (which is arm already, and that's good) and foot scrub, massage, themed with manicure and pedicure.

At Posh Nails Pampanga, we won't only feel like a celebrity but we felt like a Princess as well. Their staffs are very friendly and accommodating and even gave us our free drinks choose what you want from coffee, iced tea, hot tea or water.

I also love how their staff are well-trained. Posh Nail's staff are not in a hurry to finish their client's pedicure, manicure, etc. just to get more customers.

Looks like we really are enjoying and having fun.

The place always has many clients but is never jam packed that you'd want to transfer to another nail spa. It just shows how good their services are that people keep coming back for more.

POSH-ing with my new blogger friends Khai and Trix

At Posh Nails Pampanga, It really brings out the Kikay-ness in us.

With Sig Garcia(Owner of Posh Nails Pampanga) and the new Posh Nails Endorsers Khai, Me and Trix(just kidding!hahaha)

Well, there is nothing more calming than having a soothing massage, spa , manicure and pedicure after a long day at work, school or simply a tiring event. Maybe, some may have all the time to go to a spa for a whole body massage, etc. but an on-the-go girl doesn’t always have the luxury of time. Thanks to Posh Nails Pampanga for offering undeniably calming services to make every kikay girl happy!

Super Thank You to Tita Vinda and Sig for giving us this wonderful Spa Experience and for the Human Nature Products giveaway (I love it!) and to Allan for being our official photographer(hehehe). This experience is truly Awesome!

Simplicity is WHITE

My passion for sewing, I was able to make my own little white dress. Oh! Yes, I did this!(hehehe).

Is WHITE the new BLACK? That's difficult to say, I know how attached we all are to our LBD's but it's time for a fresh new start! Try out this latest fashion trend: the LWD - also known as the little white dress! The biggest fear that women have of the little white dress, is how unflattering they feel that white may look. Contrary to popular belief, white can look just as slimming as black given the right shape, fit and even texture!

White is fresh and bright, happy and perfect for updating a boring wardrobe. This color connotes innocence, liberty and purity (naks!).

Because white is an automatic skin brightener, it works with every type of skin tone.

How to Wear the LWD!

Here are some simple pointers for pulling off the perfect look with your little white dress!
DOs:
Do find a dress that is form-fitting.
Do make sure that the dress is not see-through or sheer!
Do wear a nude bra and panty underneath.
Do keep the length age-appropriate!
Go bold on the accessories, jewelry and shoes! After all, you're wearing a clean slate!
Do keep away from sauces like spaghetti and meatballs!

White isn't SO scary when considering:
~ It's still a neutral
~ It's very easy to coordinate with other colors
~ You can look fresh and younger automatically
~ It's monochromatic

With my look, I wanted to keep it simple because I wanted my white dress to be the center of attention, so I just wore this pearl earrings and this thin gold belt to accentuate my waist and finished off my look with this glitter pumps :)

WARNINGS:
* Never wear white dresses to a wedding; it's the bride's special day so don't ruin her purity by wearing one too. Don't worry-your day has or will come...hopefully!

* Don't wear patterned, clear, or bright colored underwear!

* Be careful wearing white during your period. Leakages are very obvious!

* White tends to become see through if wet. While wearing a white dress, try to not to run through the sprinklers/fountains/etc.

* Don't pile on white after white after white. What I mean is, I like to see a little color mixed in with an LWD. Go for jewel-toned shoes or big statement jewelry; your white dress can handle it!
* Don't wear white shoes. Nudes are acceptable though.
* Don't wear hose. It's a very dated look. Keep your outfit fresh.
* Don't wear the wrong length. Keep in mind your age and the event!

That's it for White!Until then...

It's a SHORT story

"All for the Love of Sewing and Fashion"

Do-It-Myself High waist Shorts (part2).
Summer is here and high waist shorts are IN! This is another must have on our wardrobe. I think that this kind of shorts fit most body types but you have to consider some pointers in choosing the right high-waist shorts that suit you.

This one I made, I used the basic black fabric so I can easily pair it with any top. I spent 2days just to finished all my sewing projects including this(heheh), afterall the backaches and pricking my fingers with the needle... It's all worth it. :)

The fit of high-waist shorts ranges from tight-fitted, pleated, and structured. High-waist shorts usually look good on petite girls (like ME! Yehey!!!) to make legs appear longer.

Pumps: BXGZ Shoes

High-waist shorts are very versatile and can be worn in so many different ways and combinations. For a casual look, you can pair your loose shorts with soft fabric with a tank top or a loose shirt or a cropped top and finish the look with platforms or ballet flats. For a more sophisticated look, you can wear a ruffled top with your shorts and accessorize it with a belt and wear your fave pumps.

Black is Beautiful

If you can't think of any outfit to wear, I think that wearing Black is the the safest. Sometimes, Black is the most misunderstood color. A black tie dinner is very formal and elegant. Women can wear that "must have little black dress" to the black tie dinner. Yet the bad guys wear black hats. Black symbolizes death in some cultures. Saturdays color is black. Black absorbs all aspects of light. While white reveals, black conceals.
So, why BLACK? For me, I think that this color opens the door to mystery. And in Fashion speaks, It remains the height of chicness.

Todays look: I'm an Office Girl / Assistant / Julalay of my aunt(hehehe). I feel like wearing black (walang lang hehehe). I just wanna match my sparkling collar with my outfit. I think that wearing black will draw more attention to my detachable collar (especially if it has sequin details on it) coz that's my main focus here. I just added this gold belt to cinch my waist and for extra details too. So, my look for today, can also be a night-out outfit too (hahaha!).

Do-It-Myself: Detachable Collar
It all started with Miu Miu (or our grandmothers, depending on who you ask), but detachable collars have really dominated the neck game this season. Maybe it's the crisp lines or the sheer versatility, but there's nothing quite like a bit of buttoned-up bling at your neck to dress up an outfit.

This one I made is from my excess fabric (from the sequin shorts I've done). It's a baby collar or a peter-pan collar. Instead of the usual button closure, I put a gold chain to make it look like a necklace too :) O diba? Bongacious na, Sparkly Pa! hehehe :)

Black ~ as a clothing used to make a bold statement of mystery and self control.
Black clothing can say "Notice me but do not intrude."

If fashion is a form of self-expression then what does your attire say about your level of expression?
I think that Fashion evolves. It’s fun and is one of the first things people notice when they see you. Your style speaks on who you are. If you know how to put together an outfit, then I think you'll never go wrong. Choose a style that is simple yet sophisticated and don't be afraid to experiment because that's what Fashion is for.

... and finally,

"The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world." :)

Sequin Sparkle

This is my Do-It-Myself: High Waist Sequin Shorts. I'll be making  it for the first time(hahaha). Since, I always make dresses and skirts and detachable collars, why not make my shorts for a change. This is another challenge for me(Wish me Luck!). As you know, I like to make buting-ting everything,so I've decided to make one for myself. Hopefully, I can do it(hehehe). I have faith and I trust myself, again(LOL).

Okay, after going to the Fabric store to buy my materials, I've already cut my pattern. I used my old shorts as my pattern, this way it's my exact fit(I hope so).

These are my materials and pattern. I've decided to make a bigger pattern as you can see, that's not really my size coz it looks big, but it's better to be safe and have an allowance than to make the exact fit. Anyway, I can adjust it later when I fit my shorts.

So, this is how it looks like when I sew the pieces together.

After 6hours of labor (parang nanganak (gave birth)lang LOL!). Success! I've finished my first Do-It-Myself: High-Waist Sequin Shorts (Yihiii!!!). I thought doing it was so easy but, I was wrong. It's hard pala(hehehe). But, with all my hardwork and a lot of patience I'm happy I was able to finished it... Another Labor of my Love for Sewing and of course for Fashion. I always believed that nothing is impossible if you really put your heart into it and if you love what you're doing, right? O di'ba, It's ME na! I'm so shining, shimmering and splendid :)

Shorts ~ have become the go-to piece for trendy, uber-stylish outfits, match it with the right accessories and shoes and everything will be Perfect!

Sequin Shorts have come a long way since the 80's, I much prefer when the finish on sequin is like that of brushed gold or silver.  or made into a pattern on the fabric along with tiny beads if super shiny. This makes it more delicate looking and breaks it up a bit. Sequin shorts don't have to look tacky! This one I made is a touch of gold when hit by light.

Of course.... my emotera pose(hehehe)

With my look, I paired my Sequin Shorts with this Chiffon Blouse. I wanted to keep it simple yet stylish, I just added a few accessories because I wanted my shorts to be the "center of attraction", and finished my look with these metallic pumps.

Chiffon Sleeveless Top: Pumpkin's Closet
Sequined Shorts: DIY
Earrings: Chanel
 Necklace: Secret Shop
Metallic Gold Pumps: Qupid

So, what’s the hottest pair of shorts? It's the Sequin Shorts! It’s a much-welcomed twist on the traditional short - making for one hot, must-have item. This is the perfect pair of shorts to wear for a night out on the town and also if you’re going for the “all eyes on me” look that particular evening. They're also a great statement piece to wear with a party outfit! Sequin shorts are guaranteed to have you turning heads and breaking hearts so please ladies, try not to cause too much damage in these hot pants.

The key to mastering this look is to wear black or colored tights underneath your shorts. Pair them with a silk or chiffon blouse, a boyfriend blazer and some sky-high booties or pumps. You’ll be looking hot!

Wide Leg Plus Leopard Roar

The 70's Trend is back in fashion again and when it comes to trouser, this season it's all about the wide leg. When we think of wide-legged pants, the first thing that comes to our mind is Charlie's Angels, right? The trio popularized this trend back in the '70s walking the streets in wide-legged pants, waiting for their next mission.

My todays look, I'm frockin' Wide Leg Pants.

Although wide-legged pants fit best on long-legged gals, some petite ladies are trying to pull off this trend as well (obviously, I'm one of them). Make sure the length of the pants is just right for your height when wearing your heels.

Don't be afraid to experiment with your look. I added this leopard detachable collar as my accessory (which I did by the way). It's one of my Do-It-Myself sewing projects(hehehe).

There are 3 styles of wide-legged pants: wide-legged trousers, sharp and tailored with a mid to high waistline; wide-legged jeans, wide-legged pants that are wide from top to bottom with a baggy feel; and palazzo pants, which are made out of soft and sheer fabrics.

Fashion Advise when wearing a wide leg pants: If your pants are too long, the look might be too sloppy and baggy. Make sure to have the pants altered if you got a pair that's too long. Find a pair that falls perfectly on your waist. It will show off your curves in ways you can't imagine. Pair off wide-legged pants with a slim-fitting top to balance out the volume on your bottom half. A free-flowing blouse tucked in and paired with a waist-cinching belt will work, too. Finish the look with chunky-heeled pumps or wedges.

Be fashion-forward and get your wide leg pants now.
I think that it's also a seasons must have and will never go out of style.
