Color Splash

I've noticed that I'm into pa-sweety girly-girly outfits lately, we'll I guess it really depends on our mood what we want to wear everyday. I was looking for a colorful dress in my closet and I found this one. I think I wore this dress once and that was two years ago pa at my friend's(son) birthday. Good thing I didn't gave it away(hehehe).

Well anyway, for my Look today, it's all about Colors!

As We all know, wearing a colorful outfit can do amazing things for your skin tone, hair color, and overall appearance. While basic black will forever be a wardrobe staple, adding in a few more shades can spice up your wardrobe and add interest to your look.

Colorful clothes are also a hot SUMMER TREND, so wearing color is something worth learning how to do. Even if you think you can’t wear bright clothing, it’s much easier than it seems. Adding the right amount of accessories and everything will be perfect!

When it comes to dressing up, I think that most boys find simplicity in dressing most attractive. Meaning, the usual white shirt and jeans is your best bet when catching your guy-next-door. Most of us already knows that. So, Why do we still pile on layers and layers of quirky, chic, intimidating, out of this world pieces, or go crazy over fashion choices they don’t understand?

Good thing, I found the right answer to that... 

Well, it's simple. 

Girls don’t dress up to attract guys, we dress for ourselves. We dress up to feel pretty, to express ourselves through our daily sartorial adventures, to get creative and try something new. I guess when you’re so immersed in the world of fashion, you don’t see it as wearable or not (or will people stare at me or not). Whatever FASHION STYLE we wanted to portray, there is always a story wanting to be told.

In short, it really doesn't matter what we want to wear.  If it's Simple or Out-of-this-world, it's our choice, right? Life is too short not to enjoy every single bit of it. If we have all the chance to do what we want, why not do it? Girls like us see FASHION as a form of an Art-Expression of who we are. As long as we feel happy and confident about it, who cares if people will be staring on us. Just enjoy and have FUN! At the end of the day, it's just Fashion. We're not saving lives here :). And anyway, I think If a person is really in to you, he shouldn’t really be looking (or judging you) at what your wearing . He should love every single bit of you, no matter how plain, eccentric, weird or even bipolar your style can be, right?

Lastly, I just like this quote from Betsey Johnson saying:

" Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves, and of course, each other. If Girls dressed for boys, they'd just walk around naked at all times. "

All Dressed Up

Since when did it become an unusual thing to put effort into what you wear and have fun with fashion? 

Since when is anyone not wearing sweatpants and a hoodie breaking unwritten social rules? 

Why should “dressing up” be reserved for special occasions only?

I was inspired to create this list on "Why should we dress up?". 

 I firmly believe in “dressing up” every day of our life, 

and I think you should too!

Here are some Good Reasons on "Why should we dress up"

 * Because life’s too short to blend in. Don’t settle for average.

* Because you’re only young once. You’re way more gorgeous than you know & have a fabulous body you’ll one day look back on and wish you had! Take advantage now and show off how fabulous you can be.

* Because fashion is a method of self expression. What are you trying to say?

* Because you never know who you’ll run into. A celebrity maybe?Hey, stranger things have happened.

* Because it obviously annoys some people (like the guy who asks why YOU are so dressed up). The fact that it annoys them so much is all the more reason to keep doing it.

 * Because you never know, there’s always a chance you could get snapped by The Sartorialist (or maybe the girls over at Street Spotted)! 

* Because you deserve to look your best at all times.

* Because you’ll never improve your sense of style if your default look is “I give up”. 

* Because cute clothes and accessories are a great conversation starter. Wear something fabulous and people will ask you where you got it.

* Because parties aren’t the only time to celebrate.

* Because that fabulous party dress in your closet cost too much to only be worn once. 

* Because someday when you have a 9-5 corporate job and are required to wear business suits, you’re going to miss the freedom of dress you had. Experiment now! There’s no better time.

* Because glamour isn’t only reserved for the rich and famous, even though maybe they’d like you to believe it is.

* Because even if you live in an “unstylish” city & are scared to dress up, cities don’t become stylish without someone going first. I know it sounds cheesy, but be the change you want to see in the world. Everyone else can follow your fabulous lead.

* Because dressing up helps you make fashion mistakes and get past them. Mistakes happen to everyone and that’s how you learn what not to do – get them out of the way now!

* Because it’s a test of your confidence. Dressing unconventionally forces you to develop the self-assurance necessary to stand out from everyone else.

* Because fashion is one of the rare instances where art comes alive. What artistic statement do you want to make?

* Because if you’ve got it (great style, killer confidence, amazing legs), it’s just wrong not to flaunt it.

* Because "Dressing up" is fun!

* Because if conspiracy theorists are to be believed, the world might end on 12/31/2012 that's only 292 days from now! Even though we all worried about Y2K too, why not be on the safe side? Don’t spend the theoretical 292 days you have left in sweats.

Red Alert!

People say that Red is the color for Goodluck. So, I'm wearing it today as a sign of my goodluck too(hahaha). I noticed that everytime there is a birthday or during special occassion, people wear the color red. Except for me, coz I wear pink(hahaha). 
Anyway, I'm going to my aunt's office to help her with some office work. In short, I'm her assistant, secretary and julalay(hehehe). I miss wearing office outfits since I'm not working for maybe 3years now,  so I'm in the mood to wear something like an office look. I like this red pants because it has already a splash of color in it. Red Pants are now everywhere, and that's a good protective measures, that save some girls from the white pants embarrassment. I just pair it with this white top because I think that the color white will never go out of fashion. And it's the most basic color that anyone could have in their closet. It's simple and safe when you don't know what to pair with your outfit. Just grab on a white top. I just added a minimal accessories to make my outfit look chic. And, finished it off with this black pumps.

Hey, I'm Back! I didn't get to blog anything these past few days for the reason that I got sick and I wasn't in the mood to be doing anything. I just stayed in the house sleeping (so I could get back to my energy hehehe!) I was hit by flu, colds and now my cough is starting. I already take my meds and thank God! I'm fine now. Anyway, enough of my sickness and back to my Look. This is just a simple outfit on a Lazy Sunday. I couldn't think of anything to wear. So, I just grab this sleeveless Top and my pink skirt and put on this yellow belt then finished it with this nude wedge, and I'm ready to go! I'm going to help my aunt to the mall. Obviously, I can't walk with this shoes so I changed into flats as usual. xoxo ~ TSE

Skull Chick

Skulls have taken over my fashion style and I don't know why I'm really digging skulls lately. Maybe, I was influenced by my son(Tam-tam) who really likes skull print in his clothes. I remember him asking me when I go shopping I'll buy him a skull shirt and shorts and bag. And now, I'm also into skulls(hahaha!).

I also got inspired by Alexander Mcqueen who lends his signature rock 'n' roll rebellion to his skull designs on clothes, bags and shoes.

No matter what genre of fashion you're talking about, you'd most likely find skulls somewhere in it and I think that no Hollywood Celebrity most likely who didn't have skulls in their closet, right?

In fashionspeak: SKULL is fun, flexible, easy and breezy!

What I liked about my LOOK is that this skull shirt is so easy to wear and it's also made of sequines which I can also wear during night out. I love how it sparkle! I paired it with this ripped leggins for a kinda rockstar/punk and edgy look. And this leopard Pumps to give it a feminine vibe. I really don't stick into one fashion style. I'd like to experiment on everything. 

Before, Skulls were used during holloweens or "it simultaneously refers to horror movies, to the Misfits and, by extension, all punk rock, and to a generalized culture of blackness and spookiness and the larger, mall-Goth culture." But now, Skull designs are insanely hot in the area of high end fashion around the globe. The wide skull craze can be seen anywhere from the hood to Hollywood. All the biggest celebs were seen rocking skull fashion and has also taken it's course into the runway. Thanks to Alexander Mcqueen who made Skull into a fashion trend.

I think, it doesn't really matter what Fashion style we dig for, as long as you know how to put your outfit together, and you feel confident about it then go for it! Afterall, Fashion is all about experiment, right? ~ xoxo TSE
