Color Blocking

Hello there bold and beautiful! The color blocking and bright color trend is sooo in this summer. Color is a happening thing this year, and the more the merrier.

This is my first time to take a photo-shoot at my Grandma's farm and luckily my cousin Janela is here and I have a photographer(Yehey!)

My Inspiration for this look is all about Color Blocking!
I personally love color, but some people tend to be afraid of making too much of a statement.

But, Color Blocking is the most creative and hands-on trend. You have all the freedom to choose any colors and mix them to any fab collab you want.

Color my day

Summer is already in full swing and with that comes summer trendy fashion. This is the perfect time to consider adding pop of colors to our wardrobe.

As we slowly melt down through the dog days of summer, wearing bright and pastel colored outfits are much more comfortable than wearing dark blues, black and brown as heat tends to absorb this color. So, for the meantime we can keep those dark colored outfits in our closet.

DIY: Accessories Holder

There's a saying that "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" and for that here's another DIY and I'm inventing my homemade accessory organizer or holder. Ever since I was a kid I always have too much  Abubots (Stuffs) in my room and closet actually until now (hehehe). When I see all my stuffs in my closet, I can't help but to stare and I asked myself  how can I have all of these? Oh well,  maybe that's a part of being a girl.

OK! aside from being a Shoe-addict... Here's another part of my addiction... and that's Accessories!
I love accessories and how they make a simple outfit stand-out and complete each look... Even your dullest outfit, once you pile accessories on it and VOILA! It can become BONGACIOUS, right?

So, here are my accessories. Some are already organized but I still have a lot to put and I don't have anymore space and holders.

This is a scrap screen wire, I got this so many years ago when our house is still under construction. I asked the person who did our windows and door if he has excess screen wire because I told him that I'll be making it into an accessory holder. Here's what he gave me. It looks dull for me so I'll be transforming it and making it into a fashionable accessory holder.

From my previous DIYs, this is the excess Tiger Print Fabric from the Pants I altered. I've already made a lot of stuffs from these fabric from  envelope clutch , to shoe pads, to headband.

Here are some photos

Now, there's still excess fabric so I'll be using it for my accessory holder.

After glue-ing it into the screen wire, I just tied a black ribbon so I could hang it into the wall and this is it!

My finished product.

Some of my DIY accessories and new accessories I've bought and I think there's more to come (hahaha!)

By the way, I also added this S-hooks I got this from my previous boutique. I wrapped them in fabric. And now, they can be used to hang necklaces too :)

My Tiger Print Inspired Accessory Holder
Fashion and Creativity in ONE

It's so easy to do just explore your WILD imagination.

Another DIY project for me. Now I can organize my new accessories and hang it on my wall. Well, at least now my screen wire looks fashionable with the tiger print details unlike before(hehehe!)

Hope you like it! Until then.. TATA!

COVER it UP!

Swimsuit coverups are excellent garments that camouflage the parts of your body you're vulnerable of (cellulites, stretch marks, sagging breasts, small breasts, flabby stomach, etc.). Stripping down on the beach can be quite intimidating so it's always handy to have a couple of extra beach cover-ups available. They are also good to wear if you're staying out and about the beach, protecting your skin after several hours of sun bathing.

TIPS ON HOW TO BUY SWIMSUIT COVER UPS:

    If you prefer casual tee-look
Instead of selecting the boxy baggy type consider purchasing a t-shirt tunic dress for a flattering, chic silhouette
Make sure you can wear it with several outfits
For example, a simple beach maxi dress is perfect when you're relaxing by the cruise-ship pool but if you add large earrings, cocktail ring and a cute purse, the same dress can be worn for dinner later that evening. Also, neutrals and solid colors, such as white, black, chocolate brown and dark navy blue blend in with the rest of your wardrobe - making it cost-effective and easier to mix and match.
For a super-chic and cool look
Try an long chambray or denim shirt as cover up. Because of denim's thicker fabric, it's best worn for a tad chilly afternoons on the beach.

  • If you have a classic Pear body shape or have full hips and thighs
  • Opt for beach sarongs as they hide your bottom half. They also give you a graceful silhouette for a flirty look. If you have slim hips, a sarong cover up can also create curves.

  • Consider adding a sunhat  to your beach outfit
  • It really spruces up your look! Try a wide brim or a trendy fedora straw hat.

 Cover Up: CURVE
Swimsuit: Kula Beach
Sunnies: H&M

Hair: Goody Simple Style Bun Spiral
Feather Earrings: Tops and Totes
Flip-flops: Ralph Lauren

Choosing a great swimsuit cover up can make a positive difference in how you look and feel when you're out flashing your thighs and shoulders in public. A tee or a towel would be the most natural thing to hide yourself with, but you'll be amazed by how a beach dress or a tunic top can help you feel better, feminine and more stylish. It is especially flattering on plus size figures as most swimsuit cover-ups are flowy and skim over lumps and bumps.

This one I'm wearing is actually a Sheer Top, but it also has another purpose and it became my cover-up, 2-in-1 combo (hehehe!). If you're Shy or a little bit conservative or don't have the guts to show your body in swimsuit, I think that a swimsuit cover up will do the trick. You can still wear your swimsuit without showing off your skin and still look chic and sexy.

Well, That's IT for my cover-up. Until then...

DIY: Kimono Jacket

Asian fashion is hitting the fashion scene! A more chic and stylish replacement for normal cardigans are kimono jackets. Its elegant flow, delicate fabric, and bold prints give your simple outfit a complete level-up.

This is my DIY Kimono Jacket in Leopard Print. While strolling at the mall, I saw this Kimono Jacket. I looked at it and it's so easy to do. Then I thought of making one for me.

My Finished Product!

Appealing to my constant desire to appear easily attired, effortlessly bohemian, I'm picking up the kimono jacket.

These flowy toppers achieve that perfect hybrid between elegance and ease, with Asian-inspired flowers and prints, fringe trim, even the solid-colored options in a standout hue. They single-handedly complement and complete any look.

Forever21 Black Tube Top
Gap Silk High Waist Short
SM Accessories Belt
DIY Fringe Necklace
Boutique Glitter Gold Pumps

The KIMONO JACKET is a very versatile clothing piece that can be easily worn at night or in daytime. For a day look, you can pair it with a simple black tank or tube top and jeans, leggings or denim shorts then accentuate with a long necklace. For evening wear, grab your bandage skirt or silk high-waist shorts and colored tank. You can also wear it loose or tuck-it in.

What's nice about this Kimono Jacket is that you can use this at the beach as a cover-up for your dress or swimsuits for a more stylish and colorful island girl outfit.

That's my KIMONO Jacket. 'Til my next DIY :)

The Rise of the MIDIS

I'm the QUEEN of DIY!

YES! from Top to Skirt to Clutch... It's all Do-It-Myself!

This is how I express my LOVE for FASHION by making my own clothes and accessories.

SHEER TOP ~ Every woman wants to be sexy, no matter her size or age. A sheer top is the perfect way to be just sexy enough… without looking like you’re trying too hard. All woman can be sexy by showing a peek of skin, yes even in the office! But it has to be done tasteful.

ENVELOPE CLUTCH ~ Throw your necessities in, tuck it under your arm, and you're out the door. For the girl constantly on the go, the envelope clutch is the new go-to bag for that "effortless" look everyone's always talking about.

TURQUOISE MIDI SKIRT ~ Such a COOL color for a HOT Trend. MIDIS are on the rise again. Ranging from just above the knee to mid-calf, this length offers a little more coverage, but is the most versatile length from season-to-season. You can also stripped down with sandals for the summer. How cool right?

Top&Skirt: DIY
Earrings and Necklace: Nine West
Shoes: from Hongkong

It's really fun when you make your own clothes and accessories. And, it's more fun when you put all the pieces together and create a fashionable look. I really believed in the saying that "nothing is impossible in this world". If you have the passion and determination you can really do everything.
