I know that the classic LBD or Little Black Dress, is always good to us. But the Fashion gods have spoken, and looks like the Little Blue Dress is on the rise too! I'm not really sure if what I'm wearing right now is a TOP or a Dress. Well, for a petite body type like me, I think I can wear it as a Dress. Don't worry I'm safe because I'm wearing a super short, shorts underneath(hahaha)and adding this yellow belt for an instant pop of color. I think that the color blue and yellow compliments each other (I just think, OK). I also wore this printed tights because I don't want to show-off my legs, since my Dress is super short already and also to let my legs do the "talking" err I mean "walking" (heheh). What I also like about my dress is the print on it which says I <3 NY (I Love New York). I'm dreaming of going there too someday. Unfortunately, when I had the chance to go to USA, I wasn't able to visit NYC because my vacation is almost over. Anyway, there's always another chance and next time, I won't miss it for sure. I'm going see the statue of Liberty and stroll down at Central Park and go shopping in Manhattan and Times Square. Well, i hope my dream will come true.

Fashionista on a Budget

I made myself a PROMISE... A promise that this month I won't shop too much for clothes, shoes and accessories, since I still got tons of these sitting in my closet which I bought from the previous month. Not to mention those I also bought few years ago and those I also got from my mom and sister as "pasalubong" (present/gift) waiting for me to notice them (KSP-Kulang Sa Pansin) and begging me to wear them na (hehehe). Maybe you're wondering, am I sick or something?(hahaha). I think that taking this step is a form of a rehab for a shopaholic like me. And since, Lenten Season is fast approaching, this is the better time for me to make this form of Abstinence (so help me Jesus).

OK! I said I won't shop (too much), but I didn't say, I won't shop a "little" (hahaha). I admit, I really can't resist not going shopping especially when it's ON SALE and when I go to bazaars and everything is so affordable, right? I'm only human (born to make mistakes, LOL!) and temptations is there! I'm WEAK! Now, I challenged myself that I can shop but I have to stick to my budget. For Php 2,000.00 ($50.00), I must come up with a look from head to foot that is inexpensive but Fashionable. 

So, here's what I was able to pull-off and I think what I've bought are quite reasonable.

 I bought a polkadot top, a nude color skirt , belt, accessories and shoes.

My STYLE RULE when buying a Fashion item/s.
 I have to make sure that I can wear it in 5(five) or more different ways or occassions.
It's my way of being a Wise and Practical Shopper.

Like this cute top and skirt, I know I can wear them
over and over again, and mix and match it with my 
other clothes too.

What I like about this Top aside from it's color
 is that it has an Illusion of a Crop Top

I'm not really into ring before maybe because my fingers are so thin, but goodthing this one is adjustable so it fits my tiny li'l finger perfectly and it's affordable too.

And, my "favorite finds" of them ALL. These Coral Colored Pumps.

I fell inlove the moment I saw them. And guess what? I only got them for Php 800.00. Isn't that a wise bargain for these adorable pumps! What I like about this color is they're bright and fresh and ready for summer.

Being Fashionable doesn't always mean you have to break your wallet. Let's always face the fact that sometimes our economy is not always on the rise since there are moments of crisis. As such, prices go up and almost all commodities, particularly gasoline, food and clothes, are way beyond your budget. Therefore, you have to control your expenses especially when it comes to your shopping funds. 


And, I think that ALL of us can also be FASHIONABLE in our own ways, even if we have a little budget. It doesn't matter if your clothes , bags , shoes and accessories aren't expensive or branded, " just forget about the PRICE TAG". It's how you carry these things that makes you stand-out. As what I always say,


"It doesnt' matter what you wear
If you wear it with CONFIDENCE
People won't see your FASHION
but they'll see your PASSION"

Accessories Overload

I just wanted to share my "new" accessories that I bought. Another addition to my huge accessories collection (hahaha). They are also one of my Fashion weaknesses and addiction (aside from Shoes of course!)I don't know why there is something about accessories that I can't resist. Well, what can I also do? I can't help it, and I know you feel what I'm feeling, agree with me? (hahaha). 

Just like Coco Chanel acknowledged the importance of accessories and being well accessorized -- or at least being accessorized in moderation. After all, you definitely don't want to look like a Christmas tree filled with ornaments when you leave the house [tragic]. But one thing to always remember is that accessories are just as important as the clothes you put on and the shoes on your feet. 

So, here are some of the accessories that I bought and I can't wait to wear them with my outfits.

 The beauty of accessories is that they're relatively inexpensive. If you are on a tight budget, you can buy several pieces and update the look of the clothes you have in your wardrobe. You would be surprised how one piece of accessory can change an entire look [try this at home!] Stores like SM, Forever 21 , Charlotte Russe , Aldo, Greenhills Bazaar and other Accessories Shops  carry a massive amount of jewelry that's very affordable. The only trick is just finding the right pieces. You have to be smart about your choices because you want to build a staple collection of accessories that you go back to time and time again, but not a pile of jewelry that you have no idea how to integrate into your wardrobe. It's better to have a few statement and staple pieces that you love and will use than a massive collection that fades as fast as trends. The trick is to pick the classic pieces that will withstand time. And Finally, I think that the importance of accessories today is paramount, even more than the ensemble itself. Accessories speak volumes about a person’s dressing up and reflects a woman's STYLE. So, never underestimate the power of accessories. They are fun and adds oomph to any drab outfit. They finish the look. They are the exclamation point to a boring sentence. (*wink*wink*) ~ xoxo TSE

Wearing this classic look for a Saturday afternoon, sunny and a little bit windy day. I like this Stripes Dress because of its chiffon fabric and how it flows when the wind blows ( O di'ba it rhymes LOL!). I wore this while I was attending the Saturday anticipated mass, but I just added a cardigan because our church has a strict dresscode and I want to abide by the rules, or else I might get "sermon" by our strict parish priest (hehehe).

I just added this light blue belt for an added color so it won't make my dress look dull and I also wore this Dangling Pearl Earring. Yes! I also have mine because who wouldn't love this earrings, they are so sophisticated and I think Pearls can go along with any outfit too. Finally, I wore my shining, shimmering  and splendid shoes to add spark to my outfit. ~ xoxo TSE

My Homemade Diaper Cake and Baby Shower Sash

Here's my, Another Ma-"ARTI"-is-tic side. Making my Diaper Cakes and Baby Shower Sash. I started out way back in 2007 when my friend is going to have a Christening/Baptism. Usually, in this kind of occassion guests give money or baby stuff as gifts. I want to give my friend a unique gift and get people talking when they see it. So, I thought of making a Diaper Cake. It was a struggle for me at first because I have no idea how to do it. But, I didn't give-up and I find ways on how I can make a perfect Diaper Cake. With extra effort and my hidden talent for Arts, I was able to make one. Now, I don't only make Diaper Cakes as a gift but also I made it into a business too! and I also added a made-to-order Baby Shower Sash since I'm also into sewing, o di'ba 2-in-1 hahaha.

So, here are some of my Diaper Cake Masterpieces, starting from my latest creation.

1.11.12 ~ This is my Diaper Cake Gift for my friend Noanne on her Surprise Baby Shower that me and my friends organized last January 11, 2012. It was a Success! and We all had fun especially during the games because I'm the Game Master and I really planned some naughty games where ALL of us were Laughing so hard.

Ok, I'm just trying this Tiara and Sash how it will look on me. It's Cute (hehehe), how I wish I have baby shower too... in my dreams (LOL!)

Me, Noanne and kids (Ayanah and Noah) and Ate Dalsa. For the last time, before we go home, we have to take a picture of our masterpieces. Me and my Diaper Cake and ate Dalsa's yummy cupcakes.

This is also my gift for my friend Mitzie's Baby. Would you believe that I only made this in 30mins. Yes, It's a Diaper RUSH! My husband (Tan-tan) just told me that day that we will attend her Baby's Baptism. Luckily, I was able to finish it.

May 2008 ~ Diaper Cake Gift for my cousin Steph's (son Basti), Here, I just garnished it with Baby care items such as feeding bottle, bottle brush, toothbrush, baby toys, etc. that she can use for her baby.

Decemeber 2007 ~ Finally, here's my first Diaper Cake Gift masterpiece for our friend Tin and Carlo. I can't believe this was already 6 years ago. I remember when I gave this to them, people were all amazed and I'm so flattered (hehehe).
