I SPY DIY : Peplum Skirt

Here's another DIY (Do-It-Myself) Dressmaking project  for me. I've seen a lot of celebrities wearing PEPLUM SKIRTS nowadays. So, instead of spending a fortune, I thought of making one of my own. Thank you Lord, you gave me skills and talent in sewing(hihih!).  What I love about Peplum Skirt is that it looks so feminine and classy.

This is my DIY Peplum Skirt Tutorial. It's so easy to make just by using your old skirt.

Materials:
Old Pencil Skirt
(Mine is approximately 20 inches in length from waist to hem)
Tape Measure
Scissors
Fabric Chalk
Pins
Sewing Machine

Step 1 : Measure the length you want your skirt to be.

Step 2 : Add about 1/2 inch for a hem, mark and cut

I cut my skirt approximately 6 1/2 inches.

Step 3 : Once you cut it, fold under and hem by hand or machine.

Step 4 :  Take the Leftover fabric and cut it in half.

Once you cut it, fold the raw edges over and pin.
I'm so serious... Obviously, I don't wanna make a mistake or else...LOL!

Step 5 : Figure out where you want the pieces to go and pin them on your skirt carefully.

Step 6 : Sew using a machine or by hand.

Finally!!! C'est Fini!!!

Transforming my old pencil skirt into a fashionable Peplum Skirt.
So, What do you think?

That's it for my DIY... Until next time!
